Scott Harrelson

Scott Harrelson joined the Kotis Restaurant Group in 2000 as a Brokerage Associate specializing in the South Carolina market out of our Myrtle Beach office. Scott's extensive experience in the hospitality industry, ranging from Hotel management to multi-unit restaurant ownership provides our restaurant clients an opportunity to not only have someone knowledgeable about the real estate market, but also about the industry.

Career highlights:

• Currently owns with his brother Mike, Thoroughbreds Restaurant in Myrtle Beach. Scott opened Thoroughbreds in 1988 and has grown it from 6,000 sf to 15,000 sf with annual sales of nearly $4,000,000.
  
• Restaurateur of the year for the South Carolina Hospitality Association in 1995.
  
• Restaurateur of the year for the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association in 2000.
  
• Currently serves on the Board of Directors for the South Carolina Restaurant Association and as Treasurer of the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association.
  
• Co-chairman of the South Carolina Coalition to Repeal Mini-bottles
  
• 2001 recipient of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce's Community Service Award
  
• Adjunct professor in the Hospitality Tourism program for Horry-Georgetown Technical College
